The Louisiana Marathon Weekend is a Saturday/Sunday filled with races in and around Baton Rouge!. The primary Saturday races are the 5K & Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) race. Start/finish is in downtown Baton Rouge at 4th Street & Spanish Town Rd. The race route departs downtown over the North Blvd overpass. From there, the route heads down 19th/Park to Perkins and then down Kleinert Avenue. They wind us back through parts of the Garden District and then back to 19th/Park

It was a strong December for running as the weather really cooperated. I ended December 2025 with 92 miles which brought my year-end total miles to 1,018! After a kinda slow start to the year, I caught up and finished the year at my goal of 1,000 miles. Finished up another lunch with my Dad at Doe's Eat Place - it was so good 3 weeks ago, that we had to go back! Doe's is a long-time Baton Rouge restaurant located on Government Blvd in Mid-City.
