Mardi Gras Mambo 10K - Personal Best Time - 2026!

Every year - during Mardi Gras - the Mardi Gras Mambo 10K/15K is run. It's a super fun race that begins downtown, runs through the Garden District & part of Mid-City before finishing up back downtown.

This year's race was pretty challenging from a weather perspective. The wind chill during the race was 15 degrees and the actual temperature never got above 28 degrees!

The weather tamped down the attendance a bit, but there were still 500 runners that finished the 10K and over 200 that finished the 15K!

I finished the race in a personal best time of 49:08! It was a PB by around 25 seconds over a 10K a couple of years ago. I finished first in my age bracket for the second race in a row and bested the second place finisher by around 3 minutes!

The next and final competitive 10K that I'll run will be in mid-April at the OLOL Tiger Stadium 10K.
