The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area showed some very strong job growth adding 2,700 new jobs in November 2025 as compared to November 2024! These new jobs grew our job employment base to around 438,000 jobs which is greater than this time in 2024 and lifts our total number of jobs back up to levels seen in the early fall of 2025. In addition, the unemployment rate for Baton Rouge fell to 3.9%, .2% below November 2024. All in, this is a great jobs report for the Baton Rouge are

The Louisiana Marathon Weekend is a Saturday/Sunday filled with races in and around Baton Rouge!. The primary Saturday races are the 5K & Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) race. Start/finish is in downtown Baton Rouge at 4th Street & Spanish Town Rd. The race route departs downtown over the North Blvd overpass.
