I just completed a 2 hour continuing education class called 'Untying the Knot' that deals with all the real estate issues related to divorces and how a divorce can impact our real estate listings and sales. Needless to say, there was some very eye opening information delivered about divorces, separations & how separate property is handled under Louisiana law - but also super informative!
This course was put on by Commerce Title and was taught by one of their real estate attorneys. Super informative course and delivered in a great setting. It was a small class of about 20 other real estate agents and the instructor was very knowledgeable and skilled in delivering information.
I've certainly sat through classes where the instructor was not skilled and they were painful - not the case here! Commerce Title has historically been one of my most recommended closing companies. In addition to doing such a great and competent job in handling the actual closings, they provide these other ancillary, but very important supporting services to real estate agents.
I've now completed 11 of the required 12 hours that are due by the end of this year. Commerce Title tends to offer a 2 hour class every month, so I'm sure I'll have my CE wrapped up in the next couple of months.
I'd love to talk with you about this subdivision and show you some of the homes for sale - reach out to me if interested!
