3rd Continuing Education Class of 2026 - Baton Rouge Real Estate
Every calendar year, the Louisiana Real Estate Commission requires all licensed agents/brokers to complete 12 hours of continuing education.
I completed a 2 hour, in-person class held at the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors office this morning and the covered topic was Fair Housing. This 2 hour course is now required to completed every three years by the National Association of Realtors along with a 3 hour Ethics course.
This is a good class and covers topics that important in today's world regarding housing discrimination. It's real and it's a thing and this class provides good and helpful reminders to not inadvertently violate the fair housing laws.
9 hours are now completed and I have a 2 hour class scheduled in March covering divorces and their impact on real estate.
