OLOL Tiger10K - Personal Best Time - 2026!

Today was the last of the 'Big 3' competitive races in Baton Rouge that I run every year. I ran the OLOL Tiger 10K this morning and set a new personal best time of 48.42! This was the 3rd race in a row that I've run a personal best time and I shaved about 28 seconds off of my previous best time!

This a hugely popular race in Baton Rouge. All 3 of the related races sold out with about 6,600 total runners registered. There were 3,100 runners registered for the 10K, 2,900 for the 5K and 500 for the Kid's 1 mile race.

It was a rainy start to the day here, but it stopped raining right before our race kicked off at 8:00 am. It was damp, with a bit of a northern wind but with the temps hovering around 60 degrees it was some really good running weather. I ultimately finished 4th in my age bracket and 324th overall. I'm super pumped about running another personal best as this is a fast race with many competitive runners running.

FreshJunkie Racing puts on this race along with the Mardi Gras Mambo and the Louisiana Marathon Weekend of races in Baton Rouge along with multiple other races around the Gulf South. They do a tremendous job with these races which is why they attract so many runners year after year.
