Quarter Marathon Race as part of Louisiana Marathon Weekend - 2026!
The Louisiana Marathon Weekend is a Saturday/Sunday filled with races in and around Baton Rouge!. The primary Saturday races are the 5K & Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) race. Start/finish is in downtown Baton Rouge at 4th Street & Spanish Town Rd. The race route departs downtown over the North Blvd overpass. Back for another fantastic meal at Doe's Eat Place - 70806, December 2025!
Finished up another lunch with my Dad at Doe's Eat Place - it was so good 3 weeks ago, that we had to go back! Doe's is a long-time Baton Rouge restaurant located on Government Blvd in Mid-City. We started with a 1/2 order of tamales. Doe's has been serving their famous tamales since 1941 and man were they great. They really reminded me of what I grew up eating in Texas.
