Lunch at Elsie's Plate & Pie with my Dad (Baton Rouge - 70806)!

Time for another lunch at one of my father's favorite places in all of Baton Rouge - Elsie's Plate & Pie! I just cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and how consistently great they've been since they've opened. Very few restaurants can say that, but Elsie's delivers every time. They are so good and respected as a restaurant the Diner, Drive-in's and Dives just recently filmed an episode segment on them while they were in town filming!

They are located on Government St in Mid-City Baton Rouge - 70806. It's a quirky place with an amazing vibe and you need to get there early unless you want to wait for a table. You walk past an entire display case of home-made pies to get to your seat and I've purchased pies from them during holiday season rather than trying bake my own!

Food wise - you are seeing their onion rings appetizer, the fried catfish/shrimp platter and the meat pie platter. Food was a 10/10 and my father had a take home for his dinner the next night. Until next time Elsie's!
