I had a chance to attend this inaugural event on Sunday 5/21/23. It was a great, family friendly afternoon benefiting Youth City Lab. This is a new venture housing 4 Baton Rouge non-profits that are focusing on making life better for our young people. This collaboration will house all sorts of youth based activities ranging from job/skills training, to performance art to getting prepared to go on their first job interview!
The lead sponsor was Franklin Associates LLC and many mid-city based restaurants provided food for all the attendees: Mestizo's, Hub & Spoke, Calandro's, Bistro Byronz & Tap 65 just to name a few.
Things are really popping in Mid-City Baton Rouge led by the re-design of Government Street. All sorts of new restaurants and business are moving into the area and the already strong housing market in the area continues to strengthen.
Here's to hoping this becomes an annual event!
