Louisiana is poised for some exception job & wage growth over the next few years with at least 6 mega projects that have been approved and/or have broken ground:

• Meta’s AI data center in Richland Parish near Monroe

• Entergy’s power center supporting Meta’s data center

• Woodside LNG in Calcasieu Parish near Lake Charles

• Venture Global CP2 LNG in Cameron near Lake Charles

• CF Industries in Ascension Parish in the Capital Region

• Hyundai Steel in Ascension Parish in the Capital Region

There's an additional semi-mega project occurring in St Francisville - an AI Data center that is due to break ground shortly.

It's estimated that these 6 projects will have a combined workforce throughout the state of around 21,000 new jobs in/around 2026/2027. That's a huge amount of jobs for a state the size of Louisiana and these jobs tend to have good wages/benefits. Once these projects are completed, they will support many thousands of high-paying technical jobs in running these facilities which will in turn drive economic and housing growth throughout the state.

Baton Rouge is especially poised to benefit from this mega-project growth. 3 of these 7 projects are located directly in the Greater Baton Rouge area. This coupled with LSU's $800,000,000 construction program and the already announced $21,000,000,000 in new plants & expansion of existing plant projects should drive people and wages directly into our economy....and keep them here!

This type of job growth is what continues to drive our rather robust housing market. We need more houses to support this type of population growth and while builders are stepping up, its not enough to fully accommodate our growth.
