New Housing Development (Stillwater Subdivision) Coming to Baker in 2026/2827 - 70714!

Super housing news coming out of Baker for late 2026 & 2027 as a new construction, large subdivision - Stillwater - will be built!
When ultimately finished out, it will contain 160 new homes and it will be built-out in 3 phases: Phase I - 57 lots, Phase II - 49 lots & Phase III - 61 lots. Stillwater Subdivision will be built on 90 acres adjacent to the Comite River. It appears that roughly 1/2 of the acreage will be reserved for new detention ponds and other flood mitigation uses.
The developer has not yet been announced, but the assumption is that these will be fairly affordable homes which should be very attractive to buyers in the northwestern part of East Baton Rouge Parish! More information to come in a subsequent blog post once additional details regarding Stillwater are released.
