October 2025 Lunch at Chili's in Baton Rouge!

Had another great lunch with my Dad at Chili's in Baton Rouge! My father has become obsessed with the 3 for $10.99 lunch offerings, so I try to get him back to Chili's about every other month so he can try some new items.

Chips & Salsa (still one of the best around)

Fun fact about me is that I ate at the original Chili's in Dallas in the late 1980's back when it was a very small restaurant chain. They were known for their burgers & fries which were off the chain then and I'm happy to say taste as good to me today!

Chicken enchilada soup

After graduating from college, I worked for TGI Friday's in their corporate office and Chili's was our super rival:) Our corporate offices were even within a mile or so of each other. For the time I worked at Friday's I refused to eat at Chili's, but I'm glad to be back on the Chili's bandwagon.

Sirloin Steak

It's interesting how the taste's of your youth stick with you over time. I still - after all these years - enjoy dropping into Chili's to get a burger or chicken strips along with their chips and salsa. I honestly would put their chips and salsa up against nearly any Mexican food restaurant - and that's coming from someone who has eaten Tex-Mex for over 50 years!
