The Shaw Group to add 200 Jobs to their Walker Manufacturing Facility - 70785!
Big economic news coming to Walker in early 2026 courtesy of The Shaw Group!
Shaw has an already existing pipe fabrication and specialty services facility located in Walker that currently employs 165 people. This facility supports industrial projects tied to
power generation, oil and gas, and data center development in and around Louisiana and the
Gulf Coast.
Because of the success of this facility, Shaw will be adding 200 new direct jobs locally while retaining the existing 165 jobs! The average salary for these 200 new jobs will be around $62,000 which is about 40% above the median salary in Livingston Parish. Good jobs with good pay means more people in the market to purchase a house in Walker, Denham Springs and Livingston Parish in general!
