South Woodcrest Subdivision - Denham Springs, 70726!

South Woodcrest Subdivision is located in the heart of Old Denham Springs. Most of the original homes in this subdivision were built around 1960, however there were homes constructed through through around 1980 or so. South Woodcrest is bound roughly by Rushing Rd to the south, LA HWY 16 to the east, Florida Blvd to the west and Veterans Blvd to the north

The homes in South Woodcrest range from 1,100 sf - 1800 living sf or so. Most of the homes have at least 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, though there are still some legacy homes that have only 1 full bathrooms.

This neighborhood completely flooded in the August 2016 flood, but the subdivision survived and all the houses were rebuilt/renovated. You will see several homes that have been elevated 6-7 feet in the air. These homes were required to be elevated to above the base flood elevation by FEMA and generally the raising of the homes was funded by FEMA grants.
