Sherwood Forest Subdivision is a massive subdivision located in the east-central part of Baton Rouge. There are over 1,000 homes in Sherwood Forest where development started in the late 1970's and continued on into the 1980's. Sherwood Forest is generally bounded on the north by Florida Blvd, the south by Old Hammond Hwy, Sharp Ln to the west and S Flannery to the east.
Sherwood Forest is almost completely built out with detached, single family homes. However there are some multi-family properties that were developed at the far east end of the subdivision.
The property pictured above was an investment property purchased by my clients. This was a duplex in need of some work. It was attractive to my clients as it had 3 full bedrooms and another room that could easily be used as bedroom which made it attractive to families needing some extra space. My clients completed renovations and had no issues in placing tenants in the duplex.
