Shenandoah Estates Subdivision is a huge, sprawling and very popular subdivision located the eastern part of Baton Rouge - 70817!
Shenandoah Estates is located generally east of Jones Creek, south of George O'Neal and north of Tiger Bend. Most of the homes were built in the 1980's and the bulk of the subdivision doesn't have lender required flood insurance. By and large this subdivision made it through the 2016 flood with no issues.
There is a very wide range of home sizes in Shenandoah Estates - ranging from around 1,500 up to around 4,000 living sf. The bulk of the homes, however, are in the 2,000 - 2,500 or so living sf.
Home values range from around $200,000 up to around $500,000. The homes are on generally pretty nicely sized lots and the subdivision is well kept. They've even organized their own Mardi Gras parade! Super great location with easy access to Airline Hwy, Coursey Blvd, O'Neal Ln and ultimately I-12.
