September 2023 Real Estate Sales in the Greater Baton Rouge Area!

September 2023 real estate sales numbers for the Greater Baton Rouge Area are in. A total of 807 properties were listed and sold in the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors MLS valued at a touch under $214,000,000!

Sales decreased in September from August due to some normal seasonality slowdown, continued elevated interest rates and constrained inventory in our local market continue to hamper home sales, there's still a ton of home buying and selling occurring!

You can see the just how different our real estate market September 2023 vs September 2022. There were 230 fewer properties sold this September vs last September! Our days on market prior to selling this September is 59 days vs 42 days in September 2022. Buyers and Sellers are still closing sales, it is just taking a bit longer than it has in the past.
