Plantation Park is a subdivision located in the southern part of Livingston Parish accessible directly from LA HWY 16.

Plantation Park was developed in a couple of pretty discrete phases. The front part of the subdivision was developed in the early 1980's and consisted of primarily concrete slab homes with between 1,000 and 1,300 living square feet. The back 1/2 of the subdivision was developed in the late 1990's and consisted of primarily pier and beam Acadian style cottages. The average square footage was a bit bigger for these homes generally ranging from 1,300 - 1600 living square feet.

Plantation Park is a good first time home buyer subdivision as the homes generally range in price from $140,000 - $180,000. Flood insurance is required for the entire subdivision and it did flood during the 2016 flood. Because of the flood nearly all the homes have been updated/renovated to better fit what current home buyers are looking for.
