Hut 8 Data Center Announces new Multi-Billion Dollar Customer - West Feliciana Parish 70775, December 2025!

Hut 8 previously announced the construction of a huge, new AI Data center in St Francisville, West Feliciana Parish LA sitting on around 600 acres of prime land.
Hut 8 just announced a $7 Billion Dollar contract with Anthropic as the first tenant in the new AI Data center with work commencing immediately! It is anticipated that once the Anthropic servers are in place and running that their contract will generate around $90,000,000/year in additional taxes for West Feliciana Parish. To put this into context, currently the Parish collects $41,000,000 in taxes from all sources!
The Parish President has stated that the $90M in additional taxes will be split evenly between: the Parish school system, the Sheriff's office and the Parish itself. This will be a huge boon to the Parish schools and to the general quality of life in/around St Francisville.
To support the new Hut 8 AI Data center, Entergy is constructing a 330 MW power station specifically to run this new project.
