Hood Container Announces $120,000,000 Plant Investment in St Francisville 70775 - , September 2025

Hood Container has announced a $120,000,000 investment in their existing packaging and paper production plant in St Francisville, 70775!

This plant was originally constructed in 1950 and has been an integral part of the St Francisville and West Feliciana Parish's economy since that time. This project will retain 295 existing jobs and is expected to create 819 indirect jobs during the construction/expansion phase. It is also expected that the retained jobs will pay at about 30% ABOVE the Parish's average salary which will continue to inject reliable and dependable cash into the local economy.

The plan expansion is expected to increase paper production by 80,000 tons per year which will require the purchase of an additional 204,000 tons of wood chips and 22,000 tons of recycled boxes - most of which will be sourced in Louisiana.
