December 2025 Home Sales Statistics for the Greater Baton Rouge area are in and at the chart below:

December and full year 2025 homes sales statistics are wrapped for the year and it was another good, solid year for residential home sales in the Greater Baton Rouge area!
December 2025 shows 713 sold homes vs 701 sold in December 2024 with a median sales price of $263,000 vs $263,133. In addition, there were 683 new homes listed and 541 homes went pending in December 2025 vs 586 new listings and 542 pending homes during the same period of 2024. The number of days on market prior to the final sale increased to 73 days in December 2025 vs 70 days in December 2024.
Year to date 2025 vs 2024 stats show:
9,079 vs 8,909 homes sold
12,595 vs 12,137 new listings
$265,000 vs $264,500 median sales price
71 vs 68 days on market prior to the final sale
All in, our market continues to be quite steady. Our home values are holding and home sales are very slightly growing. We remained supply constrained in our market - both from a new construction perspective and from homeowners locked into low rates holding on to their homes longer. All signs point to a stronger 2026!
