Greater Baton Rouge Area Economic Wins for 2025!

It was a record setting year for the Greater Baton Rouge Area in terms of economic projects with a record $10.6B in capital investment projects announced! These economic projects are projected to create over 2,100 new, direct jobs which equates to over $190 million new payroll dollars that will be circulating through our local economy!

In addition, there will multiple thousand of indirect, primarily construction related jobs that will be created as well generating many more millions of payroll related dollars in our economy. It's hard to really understate just how big this year is/was for the Baton Rouge area as it relates to these economic wins as we had to compete against other regions/states for these projects - and we won!
These projects, along with the already in-place industrial base along with record enrollment at LSU and stable employment in state government means stability for our local housing market. This news will incent builders to build more new housing and will keep existing home values increasing in a reasonable and sustainable manner.
