Forest Oaks West Subdivision is located in 70815 and is generally north of Florida Blvd and West of Sherwood Forest Blvd. Forest Oaks West was originally developed in/around the 1980's and consists of essentially all brick, affordable residences.
Forest Oaks West is comprised of both single family homes and townhome duplex units. The townhome duplex units were mostly sold separately when they were built, but you do find an occasional duplex that is whole and hasn't been separated into 2 townhomes with individual legal descriptions and tax parcel ID's.
The property pictured above was an investment property purchased by my clients. Originally they bought one side of the townhome duplex and then a couple of months later the other side came on the market as a foreclosure. We bid and won the foreclosure auction so my clients ended up owning both sides of the building. They renovated both sides and were able to place tenants in both units. Ultimately they decided to exit this investment and we were able to list and sell both units as a package to the same buyer. It took some extra time due to how the buyer's loan had to be structured, but we got it done and the units sold for a then-record price in the subdivision!
