AtmosClear Announces $885 Million Project at the Port of Baton Rouge in Port Allen LA 70767 - April 2025

AtmosClear has announced a new carbon capture project to be located at the Port of Baton Rouge in Port Allen, LA 70767!

This $885,000,000 project will build a facility with the capability of converting biomass such as sugarcare byproducts and forestry products into renewable power all the while being able to capture around 700,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. In a further win, Microsoft has signed an agreement with AtmosClear to provide them around 7 Million metric tons of carbon dixoide removal over the 15 year duration of the agreement. This will help Microsoft's goal to become carbon negative by 2030. Huge win for the Port of Baton Rouge and the Greater Baton Rouge economy as a whole!
