Air Liquide to Invest $350 Million in Ascension Parish to Support the Hyundai Steel Mill Project!

Air Liquide has announced a major, $350,000,000 plant expansion project to support the under development $5.8 Billion Hyundai Steel Mill construction project on the West Bank of Ascension Parish!

This expansion from Air Liquide will physically occur at their existing plant in St James Parish and they will be expanding their pipeline infrastructure along the Mississippi River to connect to the Hyundai project. This project announcement gives further support to just how impactful the Hyundai project will ultimately be not only for Ascension Parish but also for the Greater Baton Rouge area.

Air Liquide will be hiring additional workers to staff this new plant and hundreds of construction jobs will be created over the next few years to support this expansion.

Projects like this one will allow for continued home construction in/around Ascension Parish in additional to providing demand support for the existing housing stock on BOTH sides of the Mississippi River.
